Subject: Paul Moraine, N0PWM, Silent Key
All (my apologies for list duplications) --
Erin Moraine (KC0SPW), wife of Paul Moraine (N0PWM), called this morning and
asked me to inform the amateur radio community of the very sad news that Paul
suffered an apparent massive heart attack and passed away yesterday while on a
shopping trip. Paul, an Amateur Extra class operator, was extremely active in
the greater Pikes Peak Region, a member of Pikes Peak ARES, the Colorado ARES
Disaster Response Team, El Paso County and Colorado RACES, the Mountain Amateur
Radio Club (MARC), the Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association (PPRAA), the Pikes
Peak FM Association (PPFMA) and other amateur radio groups in the community. He
was a former president of MARC and, I believe, the PPRAA. He was an active and
valuable member of the MARC VE
Team and actively promoted amateur radio and served as an "Elmer" for many new
hams, several of which he recruited.
Paul, who was a very dedicated Christian, was extremely active in New Life
Church where -- amongst other things -- he managed the sound system for events
at the church. Service information is pending, but not yet finalized, but will
likely be on Wednesday or Thursday at New Life Church -- more information as it
becomes available.
Paul (and his lovely wife, Erin) were/are very close friends of both Carol and
me and there were simply no finer people we've ever had the privilege of
knowing. Paul will be sorely missed and our sincerest thoughts and prayers go
out to Erin and their extended family.
Cards and letters may be sent to
Mr. Paul (or Erin) Moraine
6023 Rifle Gap Way
Colorado Springs CO 80922
Paul Moraine, N0PWM SK, may you rest in peace, dear friend.
